A little bit about me...

“We never stop learning, growing or becoming. And sometimes, in helping others feel safe enough to pause, breathe and reconnect, we find a little more of ourselves too.”

My Story

With over 20 years of experience in the beauty and complementary therapy industry, I’ve had the pleasure of working in a wide variety of settings — from renting treatment rooms and working within hair and beauty salons, to delivering treatments in luxury spa environments. Every experience has helped shape the way I work today, but at the heart of everything I do is a genuine love of helping people feel comfortable, cared for and at ease.

I’ve always been fascinated by how much there is to learn within this industry. My passion for complementary therapies naturally led me into teaching, and I gained my teaching qualification over five years ago. Since then, I’ve had the opportunity to teach complementary therapies within further education colleges, supporting students as they develop both their practical skills and their confidence. I’m also a qualified assessor and am currently working towards my Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) qualification.

Learning is something I genuinely enjoy, and I believe that we never stop developing. I make it a priority to complete at least one new course or area of training each year, continually building on my existing knowledge and exploring new techniques and approaches. For me, this lifelong learning means I can continue to offer treatments and training that are thoughtful, informed and delivered with care.

As much as I love learning, I also love nurturing people. I believe that a treatment should be about much more than simply the physical therapy. It should be a chance to pause, breathe and step away from the demands of everyday life. Creating a calm, welcoming environment where someone feels safe, listened to and completely comfortable is incredibly important to me. Whether someone comes for a treatment, a course or simply needs a little time for themselves, I want them to leave feeling cared for, relaxed and perhaps a little more like themselves again.

Alongside my role supporting apprentices and employers in a local FE college, I dedicate my spare time to causes that are close to my heart. I volunteer at Jackson’s Animal Sanctuary, serve as a Brown Owl and Division Commissioner within Girlguiding.

For me, Kalm Energy brings together the things I value most — learning, nurturing, connection and creating a sense of calm. Whether through treatments, education or community work, I’m passionate about helping people feel supported, valued and confident, while creating a space where they can simply slow down and take a little time for themselves.
I’m always learning, always growing and, most importantly, always looking for ways to make the experience I offer a little more thoughtful, personal and meaningful.
